It is a basilica building with three naves that does not retain any original ornamentation. Its constructive and structural characteristics allow it to be considered a work ascribed to Lombard-style architecture.
The church is Romanesque in terms of its plan and some of the structures, but the roof systems, the apse and the central nave date from the 18th century. In 1982, two wall fragments were found, located in the archway that connects the main nave with the first section of the south side nave. One of them dates from 1300 and represents the image of Saint Christopher. You can see the silhouette of a pointed arch crowned by a flower that takes on a trilobal shape. You can also see two figures, those of St. Christopher and the baby Jesus on his shoulders. The other fragment discovered appears in the same arch, but on the opposite side. It is a centaur, half man, half horse, fully represented in profile. There is a perfectly preserved inscription, SAGITARIVS, to corroborate that this is the representation of one of the signs of the zodiac.
